Greetings from Tecnológico de Monterrey
We are delighted to host the THE Latin American Universities Summit 2023 in July and we look forward to welcoming you to Monterrey, Mexico, and reconnecting in person!
The event will take place during our 80th anniversary year, a special milestone for our university. Since its foundation, the university has been inspired by the singular vision of transforming lives and advancing the development of Mexico and Latin America through quality higher education. We look ahead with an ambitious vision that defines our institution’s course towards 2030 – leadership, innovation and entrepreneurship for human flourishing.
Through education, applied research and innovation, we focus on delivering real impact and addressing global challenges in collaboration with our partners and stakeholders. We are therefore excited by the opportunity to explore with you the challenges and opportunities we face as a region.
What is our role as universities in regional development for enhanced social impact? How can we strengthen our academic collaboration, attract more significant research funding and deepen internationalisation?
These are some fundamental questions for the future of our sector as we seek to expand our impact in Latin America and around the world. Together we can learn how universities and partner organisations are transforming and leading change.
I invite you to make the most of the summit and your stay in Monterrey, and hope you have a very productive and enjoyable experience.
Welcome to Tecnológico de Monterrey.

Our vision: Leadership, innovation and entrepreneurship for human flourishing
In 2019, we published our 2030 Vision, where we clearly state our conviction that education improves people’s lives. Today we are more committed than ever to this vision, and we believe that every person educated at Tecnológico de Monterrey can and should have the ability and will to transform the organisations with which they engage, the environments around them and the communities in which they live. Our world is changing rapidly but, in our 2030 Vision, we define what we want to achieve to fulfil our purpose: education that transforms lives.
