Greetings from Western Caspian University
I am pleased to welcome you to this THE University Impact Forum on the theme of partners for a sustainable future, based on the United Nation’s SDG 4 for quality education.
With the Covid-19 pandemic, I believe this is a perfect time to make changes and adapt to the constraints imposed by the new online form of education. We need answers to questions on how to organise, maintain and further develop higher education.
Our commitment to excellence in sustainability is one of the key priorities in research and quality education. Western Caspian University provides education in various disciplines and gives particular importance to interdisciplinary collaboration and cooperation with national and international organisations that contribute to addressing the challenges and issues in continuous development.
SDG 4 is in the spotlight of our scientific and research activities, and we prioritise quality education. In this regard, the administration and faculty members work collaboratively towards the common goals of sustainable development promoting gender equality, inclusion and lifelong learning opportunities for all.
Today, our main objective is to create a platform for the foreseeable future in which to embed climate justice in every field of education. This forum will raise understanding regarding the requirements of the Agenda 2030 goals and the importance of extensively reducing the threats to our environment.
I encourage all delegates to actively engage in the discussions and debates, and to share their countries’ experience to make this a truly fruitful event with a strong sense of educational mission.
