Location and travel advice

THE is committed to ensuring that all delegates experience a safe, inclusive and enjoyable visit to our events. To help prepare for your visit to our upcoming event, we encourage you to review the travel advice and information below.

Prior to travel, we recommend that delegates refer to the travel advice and instructions provided by their home country's embassy.

Please note that eVisa applications take 3 days to be processed. Steps to apply:

1. Visit evisa.gov and click on "Single entry visa".
2. For purpose select "Education" and fill out your personal information (your address in Baku is the address of the hotel you will be staying at). You will also have to upload a JPG photo of your passport.
3. Once you have validated your email address, you will be asked to pay the admin and processing fees of US$23. Please note that this will not be reimbursed if your application is denied.

Your passport's expiry date should be at least 3 months after the expiry date of the eVisa. Find out more.

By plane

The closest international airport is Baku International Airport (Heydar Aliyev International Airport). From the airport, take the Aeroexpress bus to Baku Railway Station then a 5-min walk to the campus. The full journey will take about 30 mins.

By train

Baku Train Station is a short 5-min walk from the campus, click here for map directions.

By public transport

Baku's public transport network consists of BakuBus and BakuMetro. The free BakuKart app (available for iOS and Android) allows you to top up your account with money and easily pay for your travel fare by scanning a QR code.

Alternatively, Uber is available in Baku if you prefer to use taxi/rideshare services.

Delegates are responsible for reserving and covering the cost of accommodation for the duration of their stay.
