What is the main language?
Polish is the main and official language, although English may be understood in business circles and larger cities.
Which currency can I use?
The national currency is the Polish złoty (PLN, zł), which is subdivided into 100 grosz (gr). Notes come in denominations of 10, 20, 50, 100, 200 and 500, and coins in 1 gr, 2 gr, 5 gr, 10 gr, 20 gr, 50 gr, 1 zł, 2 zł and 5 zł. Poland uses type C and E plug sockets with two round pins. The standard voltage is 230 V at a frequency of 50 Hz. We would recommend bringing a universal adapter.
