Not just a ticket – a seat at the table where student voices take the stage

    Deadline to apply: September 4

    What's the competition about?

The Student Ambassador Competition offers selected students an active leadership role at Student Success US, a national three-day conference in Salt Lake City, UT.

Rather than simply attending, student ambassadors become part of the official program. Each ambassador will lead a conference track by introducing speakers, emceeing sessions, supporting audience discussions and representing the student perspective throughout the event.

Across the three days, ambassadors will engage directly with higher education leaders, faculty and industry professionals while gaining behind‑the‑scenes experience of how a large‑scale conference operates.

At the close of the event, all ambassadors will take the main stage for the closing panel to share key insights, reflections and student perspectives with an audience of more than 400 professionals.

This is a unique opportunity to build leadership, public speaking, and professional networking skills while helping to shape the most important conversations in higher education.

    Agenda themes you can represent

    Academic support for today’s learner
Explore how colleges and universities are using proactive support systems, peer-led learning and adaptive technology to create more personalized and flexible student learning experiences.

    College experiences
Examine how institutions are redefining the student experience by fostering belonging, building inclusive communities and supporting the success of first-generation and nontraditional students.

    Student health and wellness
Discover student-centered approaches to mental health and wellness, including accessible counseling services, inclusive wellness programs and campus-wide strategies that support well-being.

    Life beyond college
Focus on how colleges are preparing students for long-term success through career readiness, industry partnerships, mentorship opportunities and lifelong alumni connections.

    The mission

As a student ambassador, you'll be responsible for leading an agenda theme across the three-day conference:

    • Lead a conference track across the full three-day event
    • Attend and support all sessions within your assigned track
    • Introduce speakers and emcee sessions
    • Help to facilitate short Q&A discussions between sessions
    • Represent the student perspective throughout the conference
