Visas
THE and AUM cannot accept any responsibility for visa applications. Where a delegate is unable to attend because of failure to obtain a visa on time, the normal cancellation policy will apply.
We recommend having travel insurance for the duration of your visit. Please contact your travel agent for further details.
Visa-free entry
GCC citizens (Bahrain, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and UAE) do not require a visa or permit to enter Kuwait. They will need to show their GCC country passport or valid civil ID card upon entering Kuwait.
E-visa applications
GCC residents and delegates who hold passports from countries eligible for an e-visa can apply for an e-visa through a simplified online process. The e-visa can take up to a few working days to be issued and allows entry to Kuwait within a month of the issue date, therefore we advise that delegates apply for their e-visa during the first week of November.
Please note that for e-visa applications your passport or GCC residency must be valid for at least six months after you enter Kuwait.
Manual visa applications
Delegates with passports that are not eligible for an e-visa can arrange a visa through AUM, our host partner. Please email a scan/photo of your passport and academic degree by email to events@timeshighereducation.com and we will arrange your visa.
Invitation letters
Invitation letters are not required for visa applications, however if you require an invitation letter for internal purposes (e.g. for approval from your organisation to travel) please send an email to events@timeshighereducation.com.
