15-min walk from Central Station
From Newcastle Central Station cross the road onto Westgate Road. Turn left and walk up Westgate Road and then right onto Bath Lane. Cross over St James’ Boulevard and continue on Bath Lane for 200m. The building is on the left-hand side.

Metro
5-min walk from St James' Metro Station
From St James' Metro Station, cross over Gallowgate and walk up Heber Street with the Sandman Hotel on your left. The building will be in front of you.
Trains run frequently during the day between around 05:45 and 23:30, and provide quick and inexpensive travel. View a metro map here.

5-min walk from Barrack Road-St James' Park
The nearest bus stop is Barrack Road-St James' Park. Walk down Barrack Road in the direction of the City Centre. Turn right onto Heber Street and continue to Wellington Street. The building will be in front of you. View bus routes here.

If using a sat-nav or route planner, please use the postcode NE4 5TG.
Please note that the Helix site is a pedestrian area. We suggest those driving to the venue use the NCP car park near the university. Alternatively, you can use the Nexus Park and Ride scheme by dropping your car off at a participating metro station or bus station and hopping on a metro or bus to Haymarket Station.
Taxi
We encourage delegates to use public transport, but if you prefer to ride by taxi please ask your driver to drop you off on Wellington Street, just outside The Frederick Douglass Centre.
Visas
Some delegates may require a visa to enter the country. Please note that it can take several weeks to process a visa application so early application is recommended.
We can provide visa invitation letters to registered delegates when requested, please email a photo/scan of your passport to events@timeshighereducation.com once you have registered.
We cannot accept any responsibility for visa applications. Where a delegate is unable to attend because of failure to obtain a visa on time, the normal cancellation policy for the registration fee will apply.
