The road to digital, equitable and green higher education

The challenges we face as a society and the coming labour market transformation require fast-growing skills and an agile, equitable and greener higher education system that can evolve and adapt to changing times.

Institutions across Europe face increasing challenges: planning for uncertainty; meeting rising expectations; and innovating to digitally transform their institutions to best serve students, staff and society. To succeed, they need to join forces to create meaningful collaborations that deliver impact at scale.

Co-hosted with UOC, Digital Universities Europe will address key challenges and opportunities of digital-first higher education and showcase tools, technologies and talent to accelerate education innovation.

Delegates will hear success stories, case studies, practical solutions and advice to equip them with the knowledge and skills to digitally transform their institution.

The digital transformation of higher education is indicative of an age when the only thing we can be certain of is change. To overcome the challenges that society faces, the answer is high-quality lifelong learning. Now is the time to act and show how universities are ready to lead large-scale social transformation and make a real impact on people's lives. Because if universities are transformed, society is transformed.

    – Josep Planell, president, Universitat Oberta de Catalunya
