The American University in Cairo (AUC) is glad to partner with Times Higher Education and the American University of the Middle East (AUM) to co-organise and host Digital Universities Arab World 2024. The theme of this year’s event is Innovation for Sustainable Digital Higher Education. Over the course of two days, we will explore the prospects of digital transformation in higher education and its applications.

We will also address some of the challenges facing higher education institutions undertaking this transformation, whether they are infrastructural or related to policy frameworks, ethical considerations and accessibility. Our aim is to ensure that higher education institutions continue to deliver on their promise of educational excellence and service to society through research, outreach, collaboration and graduating resilient, adaptive and innovative life-long learners who can meet the future needs of the job market and their communities.

Digital Universities Arab World 2024 is an opportunity to collectively shape the future of higher education for the benefit of our region. It is a platform to connect, learn, share and develop ideas. Our teams have curated sessions and panel discussions that delve into the ways technology is changing how we teach and learn, such as interactive virtual classrooms and artificial intelligence-powered learning platforms. Experts, pioneers and visionaries from the worlds of education and technology will share and discuss insights, experiences and best practices.
