Shaping the future of digital health, together.

Innovation is at the core of everything we do to make lives better. As a collaborator, resource, and enabler of the next generation of medicine, we’re here to promote positive outcomes for people everywhere.

Our mission is to bring the best and brightest minds of Stanford, Silicon Valley, and the world together to solve the most pressing questions in a way that is scientifically rigorous and ethically sound.

In May 2023, Dr. Eleni Linos, Professor of Dermatology, and by courtesy, of Epidemiology and Population Health, joined as the new director of the Stanford Medicine Center for Digital Health. Over her career, Dr. Linos has become renowned for using innovative technological tools and novel digital communications to address major public health issues, including cancer, mental health, and COVID-19. About the Stanford Healthcare Innovation Lab

The Stanford Healthcare Innovation Lab brings together the world’s leading precision medicine researchers, entrepreneurs and investors to incubate cutting-edge science with real-world translational applications.

Dr Michael Snyder, faculty director and chair of the Department of Genetics at Stanford Medicine, established the world’s most robust precision medicine environment. Under his leadership, Stanford University has been ranked number one by U.S. News & World Reports for the past decade in genomics, bioinformatics, biological sciences, neuroscience and biochemistry. Dr Snyder has also co-founded more than 15 companies that, together, have gone on to earn $737 million in exits and $6.2 billion in enterprise value, creating a ripe environment where scientific findings flourish into effective, user-friendly precision health products and services.

At the root of this effort is the Snyder Lab’s approach to studying human biology at the deepest levels through large-scale, multiomic, longitudinal profiling studies, incorporating wearable sensors to collect real-time data and capture personal baselines for every individual leading to more accurate diagnoses with the help of AI.

The Stanford Healthcare Innovation Lab engages in a wide range of ventures that promote precision health and personalised medicine. This includes media projects that engage and educate the general public, as well as the Affiliate Program and Stanford Pipeline to connect a broad scope of healthcare stakeholders. Throughout the year, the lab also hosts various events focusing on specialised themes such as mental health, longevity, digital health and more.
